Leogh Chair - Fair Isle Chairs Project Original

£850.00
Made to Order

A traditional style Fair Isle Side Chair, modeled on an original chair from the Eunson family’s Leogh croft.

This was the first chair produced as part of my research during the Fair Isle Chairs Project. It was made at the Paparwark Workshop and represents my first real woodworking practice, under the guidance of Cecil Tait.

Made of oak, ingrained with Shetland peat, and a reclaimed pine seat.

This chair is currently on display in Da Gadderie at Shetland Museum and Archives, as part of The Fair Isle Chairs Project exhibition. This item may be pre-ordered and delivery made on completion of the show.
